We’ve been working with international web standards organisation W3C since 2020, when we started work on the redesign of their website. Part of the project was the creation of a Design System, a set of documented web templates and styles that helped us build the new website and provides guidance for other W3C teams building websites.
Since the website launch, we have continued to work with W3C, helping improve their website and respond to user needs. A number of recent issues highlighted a need to simplify how to use the design system. We then worked on a number of design and HTML/CSS improvements that make the design system more flexible and easier to use.
The recent changes are documented in Nicola’s post on What’s new in the W3C Website Design System, which is published on the W3C website.
