Website or service issues? Speak to Alan

Before joining the team at Studio 24, Alan spent seventeen years as an IT Manager giving him plenty of experience in website delivery and management, including the assessment, maintenance, and implementation of multiple CMSs.

Alan is one of the first points of contact for clients should they encounter any issues with their sites or services. He is also the first port of call for the studio team when they have IT issues.

Alan deftly manages client e-mail, SSL certificates, and hosting. He creates, manages, and monitors hosting services to ensure all clients have the maximum amount of uptime.

Alan is responsible for the technical SEO aspects of client websites, which include regular health checks, code adjustments, content advice, and backlink auditing.

He is a confident and clear communicator and has written several policies for Studio 24 in areas such as file usage, file storage, and software usage. Alan’s documentation – whether for clients or the team – is easy to understand, with step-by-step instructions giving the reader confidence to complete digital tasks.

Alan manages the studio’s Cyber Essentials certification to bring consistency to staff working practices and peace of mind to clients.

Outside of work, Alan is an avid console gamer, going back to the original 8-bit Sega Master System and Nintendo NES. He is a very keen Carcassonne player, retaining a top 100 position globally.

The AWS hosting meeting went really well. I’ve had walkthroughs with Alan before and always found him really easy to follow and clear and he was the same today. I’ve polled the team and they all found it really useful as well, which was good as they are at different parts of their AWS / Terraform learning journey so got benefit from different aspects of it, as well as answers to the various questions they had.
