We were delighted to come away with an award in the tech for good category.

The Cambridge Science and Technology Awards, now in their ninth year, have garnered a reputation as the leading celebration of the Cambridge region’s prowess across science and tech sectors.

There are 16 award categories in total covering all aspects of science and technology – from biotech to cleantech, and from AI to medtech. The Tech for Good category celebrates organisations leading the way in using technology for a positive impact. We were nominated for our work with RNIB on the accessible books online service for learners – RNIB Bookshare.

On the evening of the awards ceremony at Hinxton Hall, Simon and Claire from Studio 24 were joined by James and Rochelle from RNIB. During the pre-ceremony networking drinks, there was a chance to chat with the other attendees and hear about the amazing work that many individuals and companies are doing in the Cambridge region.

The ceremony began with the announcement of Nobel Prize winner Sir Gregory Winter as the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and he addressed our audience with a brilliant and humorous speech.

We’re delighted to be Highly Commended in the Tech for Good category, which was sponsored by Wellcome Genome Campus. The winner was Cambridge NeuroWorks. Congratulations to all the finalists!
