In July 2012 scientists at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider announced the discovery of the Higgs boson particle. While in Cambridge, agency owner Simon Jones announced the appointment of Emma Lane as Project Co-ordinator. For us, Emma Lane is the more important discovery.

The missing link for our agency

Ten years ago, the studio was in need of someone who could support our clients. Emma immediately bought positivity and integrity to the role and went on to be a key supporter of the whole team.

Always looking to improve what she does, Emma gained professional qualifications in management development and project management. And during the pandemic, Emma gained her mental health first aider qualification to support the well-being of the team.

Emma is an influential and inspiring member of the team. She brings great insight to our projects and supports the whole team to deliver excellent work for our clients. She has grown from project management roles to heading up client services and it’s been wonderful to see Emma’s creativity and determination to grow the agency.

A rising star

In 2015 Emma won the Agile Angel Award at the DevelopHer Awards for her skills in project management.

In 2020, we were thrilled when Emma joined the BIMA 100 for project management. It’s an accolade that recognises the British digital industry’s most influential, pioneering, and change-making people. Emma has been instrumental in developing relationships built on collaboration and trust with some of our biggest clients including HS2.

Working with a client with technical digital asks, that also operates in a complex stakeholder environment, requires patience, insight, and determination. Emma has this in spades. She provides calm counsel and a can-do attitude. Together we’ve delivered an online experience that informs and enables users. No drama, just good digital.

Emma’s thoughts

I feel really proud to reach this milestone. Working at Studio 24 has been a genuine pleasure these last ten years. I’ve learned a huge amount and have really valued working for a company that has encouraged me to develop and learn new skills; from my PRINCE 2 training in the early days to my management and mental health first aid courses more recently.

Having worked in various roles over my ten years, from project management, operations, account management, and sales, a big highlight for me has been working with such fantastic colleagues and clients. I am really looking forward to the next ten years!

A time for celebration

For CERN and Studio 24 it has been an amazing ten years as the joy of our discoveries has unfolded. But Emma’s impact on Studio 24 is a journey that has only just begun.
