Design and development of music ticket search engine website
Needtickets.com is a unique website that helps users find all available concert tickets from the UK’s main ticket providers.
Studio 24 was selected by Needtickets.com to develop a custom database application that could process all the data feeds supplied by the ticket agents.
The bespoke system cleverly matches similar, but differently, named concerts from a wide range of ticket providers so that when the user searches for an event all the relevant results are grouped together.
Searching music group names is notoriously difficult, due to the wide range of creative spellings used for music artists (for example !!!, pronounced Chk Chk Chk). The search system does an excellent job of returning logical results to help the user find the artist they are looking for.
We have extended the site by adding a Festivals section and continue to work on updates across the website for Needtickets.com
New Media Age (NMA), an industry magazine gave the website a rating of 87/100 (Jan 2009) when analysed by their team.
