The Client
The client was looking to promote the excellent work of the Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit and collect data from users completing cognitive tests online.
Project Requirements
The client was looking to promote the excellent work of the Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit and collect data from users completing cognitive tests online.
Studio 24 was commissioned to develop a functional eye catching website that would allow users to try out some of their cognitive tests. As well as designing the overall website Studio 24 were required to style the cognitive tests in order that they would be attractive and easy to use.
Solution Delivered
The initial phase of the project covered a detailed project scoping phase in order that the site’s exact functionality could be defined.
Once the planning phase had been completed we then commenced with the creative design of the site itself, making sure the site had a fun and approachable look.
In parallel to the design of the website we also tackled the design/styling of the actual games themselves. The games were supplied to Studio 24 in their raw format and we programmatically extended the functionality and design of the games to make them appealing to a generic public audience.
In 2010 the cognitive tests were used on BBC’s ‘Bang goes the theory’ programme as part of a nationwide survey.
