The Client

With 57 operations in 10 countries Bakkavor manufactures 6,000 fresh prepared food products in 18 different product categories and in 2009 had an annual turnover of £1.7 billion.

Project Requirements

Studio 24 was initially approached by the Bakkavor group to develop an Intranet/Extranet for their group finance team.  The finance department wanted to improve the way they communicated with each other across business locations.  They also wanted to have a single central place to store key financial documents and disseminate knowledge. 

The main intranet requirements were: the ability to manage and update the intranet internally; a staff directory;the facility to display latest group news; and a staff forum.

Solution Delivered

After an initial project planning phase we developed the intranet by installing the Studio 24 Content Management System (CMS).  The CMS provides the client with the ability to update the intranet content themselves.

Shortly after the launch of the Finance intranet Studio 24 were contracted to develop a similar intranet for the Bakkavor Legal department.  This intranet was again content managed and had additional features such as online legal training tests.
