No, we’re not referencing the delightful little character from the Shrek Forever After movie, we’re referring to The Cambridge Roar – a wonderful festival of charity events!

We’re excited to say that today marks the start of the 2016 Cambridge Roar, a festival of 10 events over 10 days in aid of extremely worthwhile causes.

Back in 2014, Tony Murdock (General Manager of Quy Mill Hotel & Spa and now also Chairman of The Cambridge Roar) had a vision to stage a series of events in the community to raise awareness and much needed funds for local and national charities, and so The Cambridge Roar was born.

Following a successful first year, the festival returned in 2015 with even more events, raising a grand total of £21,500!

This year promises to be even bigger and better, with all funds raised split across three vital charities – Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, Cancer Research UK and The Prince’s Trust.

The events themselves are truly diverse, from a ‘Sporting Heroes’ Dinner’ to the ‘Roar with Laughter Comedy Night’ – so there really is something for everyone.

During the festival there will also be a B2B exhibition, held on the 30th June 2016, which is completely free to attend. With over 60 stands to visit, three engaging seminars and two speed networking sessions, it’s a great opportunity for businesses to build connections. Oh, and did we mention we’ll be there? Be sure to pop over to the Studio 24 stand for chat!

We’re not only exhibiting but also proudly sponsoring the entire festival alongside our dear friends at The Cambridge and Cambridge Live.

If you’d like to find out more about The Cambridge Roar or purchase tickets for any of the events – be sure to visit the website.
